Bahne Skateboards launches new line...

Bahne Skateboards, the company that led the 1970’s rebirth of skateboarding, today announced the launch of their new product line and web site, www.bahneskateboards.com. The Bahne name, logo and products are seen throughout the soon to be released “Lords of Dogtown” feature film. Company partner, Jack Smith, plays the role as the “Del Mar Announcer in the film, he also served as consultant to the producers and director of the film.

In 1972, Bill and Bob Bahne began manufacturing skateboards. Based in Encinitas, California the two brothers produced hundreds of thousands of skateboards during the seventies. Probably most well known for their flexible, fiberglass boards equipped with Chicago trucks and Cadillac Wheels, the Bahne brothers constantly strived to improve the construction and performance of their boards, wheels and trucks.

Agency Signs Pro Surfer Pat O'Connell

Propaganda Headquarters, Inc. today announced the launch of its new athlete management division, by signing 12 year WCT Tour veteran Pat O'Connell. Under the agreement, O'Connell is represented by Propaganda and will take advantage of the company's new Athlete Career Development program.

FUEL Acquires Rights To Televise ASP Tours

The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) and FUEL TV have signed a three-year deal securing exclusive USA and select international rights to televise the ASP’s Foster’s Men’s World Tour and the Women’s ASP World Championship Tour, it was announced today by Brodie Carr, ASP CEO, ASP President Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew and FUEL TV Senior Vice President and Assistant General Manager CJ Olivares.

Quiksilver Licenses Tony Hawk Clothing To Kohl’s

Kohl’s Corporation and Quiksilver, Inc. jointly announced the signing of a license agreement, under which Quiksilver would grant exclusive rights to the Tony Hawk clothing brand to Kohl’s. The license encompasses a range of apparel and related products, including outerwear and accessories, for both the boys and young men’s categories and will be in all Kohl’s stores and Kohls.com beginning in the spring of 2006. Quiksilver, Inc. will be responsible for product design and Kohl’s will manage sourcing, distribution, marketing and all other functions.

Gary Siskar Appointed Op Marketing Director

Ocean Pacific (Op) today announced the hiring of Gary Siskar as senior marketing director. Siskar will preside over administration of the company's advertising, special events and team initiatives, reporting to the vice president/creative director, marketing and advertising.

Prior to joining Op, Siskar was vice president of marketing and sales at San Clemente, Calif.-based streetwear company The Amerikan Project. He additionally held positions as sales manager of Etnies and director of marketing at Arnette Optics.
